So I stirred up another little rhetoric on my FB account.  I also came across this….the read and the comments are most interesting.

Enjoy the reading.

Cheers!

Here is what started it all, my rant:

it’s sincerely alarming and distressing although expected to see the polarization of varied ideas broadcasted on social media sites such as Facebook….it’s sad to see shortsighted decisions be the norm in society today…it is what it is….the sad thing is every one wants someone to save them from the ill-ridden choices made…..I am grateful and humble to be a father and a husband….and although not perfect, our little boy will always know where we stand on issues and be presented with the opportunity to choose for himself…he will also know there are consequences from certain choices and he will be held accountable for those choices as he grows older….i only can HOPE that other parents will do similar….it is not up to a school, a church, a religion or other philosophy to fulfill the role of Father and Mother….it is mine and the mother of my child….” Parents have a sacred duty to rear their children in love and righteousness, to provide for their physical and spiritual needs, and to teach them to love and serve one another, observe the commandments of God, and be law-abiding citizens wherever they live. Husbands and wives—mothers and fathers—will be held accountable before God for the discharge of these obligations.” ~~~Excerpt from The Family: A Proclamation to the World.
